How College Fit works

One counsellor stays with your child from class 9 to the end of college. Here's what happens at each stage, how we check what we tell you, and the app your family shares.

Each stage, in detail

Start in any year: message us for a free first call, and if you join, your first planning call is within 7 days. From then the same counsellor stays with your child right through college, and every stage has a written plan you agree together. Choose a stage to see what happens.

A first job or higher studies

Discover Class 9 and 10

What happens

Your counsellor gets to know your child: what they enjoy, what they're good at, what they wonder about. Together you look at careers that fit, and what each one takes.

What you get

The right stream after 10th, such as MPC, BiPC, MEC, CEC or HEC, chosen for reasons the whole family understands.

Tasks you might see

  • Read about architecture, accountancy and psychology
  • Set your family's priorities

Explore Class 11 (Inter 1st year)

What happens

The careers narrow to a few directions, and those decide the exams. Then colleges and courses that fit, with fees, facts and past closing ranks, each fact labelled with where it came from.

What you get

Your exams and their dates, and a first list of dream, target and safe colleges.

Tasks you might see

  • Add two colleges to your list
  • Ask about a college's hostel fee

Apply Class 12 (Inter 2nd year)

What happens

Registrations, documents, exams and counselling rounds such as JoSAA, TG and AP EAPCET, and NEET's all-India (MCC) and state medical rounds, one step at a time, while your child gets on with studying. Then you compare the options and agree a choice list.

What you get

A reminder before every official deadline, a choice list the whole family understands, and help through to reporting day.

Tasks you might see

  • Register for JEE Main session 2
  • Upload: last two report cards
  • Agree your choice list

The year usually runs like this: JEE Main in January and April; EAPCET, NEET and JEE Advanced in May; JoSAA rounds from June; EAPCET counselling in July; classes from August. Your counsellor tracks this year's official dates.

Grow Every year of college

What happens

A check-in with your counsellor each year: branch and elective choices, internships and projects, and whether to go on to higher studies or look for a first job.

What you get

A plan for each year of college, and by the final year a clear next step: a first job, or the right course for higher studies.

Tasks you might see

  • Pick your electives for next year
  • Shortlist two summer internships

Every fact shows where it came from

Fees change, cutoffs move and rumours spread fast. So each fact in College Fit carries a label, a source and the date we last checked it. One of us writes it down, someone else checks it against the source, and only then does your family see it. Tap a label to see what it means.

The best college isn't the same for every family. Move the sliders and watch the order change.

  2. College BGovernment, in Warangal, 3 hours away
  3. College CPrivate, in another state, a night's journey

One app for the whole family

Parents and the student share one chat, plan, task list and documents, and the app shows what to do next.

  • On the web and on Android. On an iPhone, it works in Safari.
  • Up to five family members, each with their own sign-in. No passwords to remember.
  • In your own language. Each person chooses theirs, so a parent and a student can read the same plan in different languages.

More questions

When should we start?

Any year from class 9. Starting early gives your child time to explore careers before choosing a stream after 10th. If your child is already in Inter or in college, we start where they are.

What happens after my child joins a college?

Your counsellor stays with your child. Each year there's a check-in about branch and electives, internships, and whether to go on to higher studies or look for a first job. Your family keeps its plan and everything in the app.

How do we sign in?

Your counsellor sends the parent a sign-in link on WhatsApp, and the parent invites the others. After that, you sign in with your fingerprint or face on the web, or stay signed in on the Android app. There are no passwords.

Is there an iPhone app?

Not yet. On an iPhone, College Fit works in Safari, and you can add it to your Home Screen to get notifications (iOS 16.4 or later).

How do we get started?

Message us on WhatsApp or email us. We'll set up a free first call. If you decide to join, your first planning call with your counsellor happens within 7 days.
