Terms of use
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between your family and BitByteBuild Private Limited, 3rd floor, Manne Residence, Plot No. 265, Road No. 33, Ayyappa Society, Hyderabad, Telangana 500081 ("College Fit", "we", "us"). They cover our counselling service, the College Fit app on the web and on Android, and this website.
The parent who sets up your family accepts these terms for the family, including for the student and for anyone they invite. They confirm that they are 18 or older and the student's parent or lawful guardian. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What the service covers
College Fit guides students from class 9 through college, and their parents, in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Our team is based in Hyderabad. Each family has one named counsellor, who works with you in the language the parent chooses.
We help with finding what the student enjoys and is good at, careers, choosing a stream after class 10, exams, colleges, applications and counselling rounds, and joining a college. Once the student is in college, we continue with yearly guidance: branch and elective choices, internships, and higher studies or a first job. What your family receives depends on the plan you choose, which we agree with you in writing before you start.
We keep improving the app, so some features may change, and the app may occasionally be unavailable while we work on it. We will tell you in the app before anything that affects your family changes.
What we do
- Assign your family one named counsellor, with a backup who knows your family.
- Hold a first planning call within 7 days of your family joining, and write your College Fit Plan with you.
- Help your child explore careers, colleges and programs, and prepare for exams, applications and counselling rounds.
- Answer your messages within 4 working hours and your Check This questions within 1 working day. Working hours are Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm IST, leaving out the public holidays we list in the app.
- Remind you before official deadlines, and check the documents you upload.
What we can't promise
College Fit gives guidance. We do not guarantee admission to any college or program, a particular rank or score, a seat in any counselling round, a scholarship, or a job afterwards. These depend on exams, seats and the rules of the official bodies, which nobody outside them controls.
Your family remains responsible for meeting every official deadline, submitting forms and fees, and checking the official instructions. Our reminders help, but the official notice always wins.
We are independent
College Fit is not part of, or approved by, the National Testing Agency (NTA), the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), the Telangana or Andhra Pradesh state councils of higher education, any examination board or any college.
Facts and closing ranks
Every fact in the app is labelled Official, Verified, Reported or Not confirmed, with its source and the date we checked it. We work hard to keep them right, but fees, cutoffs and rules can change after we check. Before you act, open the official link.
Closing ranks are history. They show where ranks fell in earlier years, and they are not a prediction of this year's results. If we find an update we sent was wrong, we correct it visibly and send the correction to everyone who received it.
Your family's part
- Give us accurate information, and tell us when it changes.
- Make your own decisions. We set out the options; the choice is your family's.
- Attend calls you agree to, or tell us in advance if you can't.
- The student's own wishes matter. We will talk with the student as well as the parents.
Accounts and sign-in links
Each family member has their own sign-in. The parent who sets up the family gets a single-use link from their counsellor, which expires in 48 hours; the people they invite get links from them, which expire in 7 days. Each link works once. Don't forward it: anyone who opens it first can sign in as you. After that you sign in with your fingerprint or face on the web, or stay signed in on the Android app.
The parent who set up the family can invite up to four more people and remove them. If you think someone else has signed in as you, tell your counsellor and we will sign out your devices.
Using the app fairly
Please don't:
- share Aadhaar numbers, passwords or bank details in the app;
- upload anything unlawful, abusive, or that you don't have the right to share;
- sign in as someone else, or try to see another family's information;
- try to break, overload or copy the app or its data.
We may pause or end an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why.
What you share
Your messages, documents and files remain yours. You allow us to store and use them only to counsel your family, as our privacy policy describes. The app, its design and our content, such as updates and guides, belong to College Fit.
Fees
Your first call with us is free. After that, fees depend on the plan your family chooses. They are agreed with your family in writing before you start, including what is refunded if you stop early. Nothing is charged through the app.
Ending the service
You can stop at any time by telling your counsellor or writing to us, and you can download your data first. We tell you 7 days before your family's plan ends. If your family doesn't continue, or stops early, we delete your information within 60 days of the end, as our privacy policy describes. We may end the service early for a serious breach of these terms, or if we have to stop the service; we will give you notice and help you keep your records.
Our responsibility
We provide the service with care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for admission outcomes, for decisions your family makes, for changes made by official bodies, or for losses we could not reasonably foresee. Our total responsibility to your family is limited to the fees your family paid us, if any. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under Indian consumer law that cannot be limited.
Keeping students safe
Our team talks with students only inside the College Fit app and on calls the family can see in the app, never through personal phone numbers or social media. If anything about how someone from College Fit treats your child worries you, write to our grievance officer, listed in the privacy policy. We look into every concern, and we will tell you what we did.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, please write to us first: most problems can be put right quickly. If we can't resolve it, the courts at [city] have jurisdiction, subject to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
General
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as a natural disaster, a strike, or a failure of the internet or of an official website; we will tell you and do what we can to keep your family on track.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms, we will update this page and tell you in the app before the change applies. Questions about these terms: hello@collfit.com. For anything about your information, contact our grievance officer, listed in the privacy policy.
