A two-minute career check

Fifteen quick choices between everyday activities. You'll see which kinds of work you enjoy most, and careers that match, well beyond engineering and medicine.

  • For students in class 9 to 12. Parents can try it too.
  • There are no right or wrong answers.
  • Your answers stay on this device unless you choose to send them.

Takes about two minutes. Pick the one you'd rather do, even if both sound fine.

The check needs JavaScript. Meanwhile, here are all the careers it covers.

Ways in change from year to year. Your counsellor checks the current rules with you.

How this check works

Each choice puts two of six kinds of work side by side: making, thinking, creating, helping, leading and organising. They come from John Holland's interest types, a model career counsellors have used for decades. Your answers are counted on this device. Nothing is sent unless you send it yourself.

It's a starting point, not a verdict. Interests are one part of a good choice. Strengths, marks, money and what your family needs matter too, and your counsellor looks at all of them with you.
